The tenacity of its staff, and their dedication to relentless improvement means HUM stands at the center of the Haitian healthcare system—a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope for the people of Haiti.

The instability leaves people at increased risk of injury and illness, of unaccompanied births, malnourishment, and cholera. In the middle of the crisis, Zanmi Lasante, as PIH is known in Haiti remains a lifesaving care delivery team, and a model of equitable health care.
